Verity Plum is a specialist plus size boutique that opened its doors on March 12, 2005. At Verity Plum, style starts at a size 16. You see, we believe that bigger women deserve beautiful clothes too. Our collections are fashionable, stylish and place an emphasis on fit, colour and quality. So whether you are looking for great fitting jeans or fabulous evening wear, we're confident that we can find something to suit you.

European Designers

What's the difference between us and the high street? We only stock specialist European designers, all of whom specialise in plus size fashion, which means the clothes are cut with curves in mind, rather than sizing up from a standard size 10. And we're constantly searching out new ones to make sure we're bringing you the cream of plus size fashion.

From Doris to Viviana

Among the brands currently on offer are Italian collections Elena Miro and Marina Rinaldi (Max Mara's plus size subsidiary brand), fabulous British designer Anna Scholz, classically stylish 40+ German labels Doris Streich and Verpass, and high-end evening and occasion wear specialists Kirsten Krog and Viviana.

Personal Experience

Verity Plum - born from personal experience. All of the team at Verity Plum are familiar with the trials and tribulations of finding good quality clothes that fit well and look good - been there, done that, bought the t-shirt!

Meet the team:

		Helen Owner and Creator Helen has been most dress sizes in her life and had the idea of opening the shop after a particularly frustrating attempt to find a size 18 evening dress that fitted. After a week's searching, and left with a choice of a decidedly old fashioned black frock or nothing, Helen decided that there had to be a better way, and so Verity Plum was conceived! Helen's wardrobe tends to be populated by Anna Scholz, Yoek and Wille!
		Suzanne The Wild One (and Shop Manager) Suzanne joined the team a fortnight before the shop opened. Her exuberant personality, natural flair and forthright approach to customer service has earned her many fans over the years - several customers have admitted to standing in front of their wardrobe each morning and wondering 'what would Suzanne put together?' while choosing their outfit for the day! An hourglass shape, Suzanne favours the fit of German brand Wille trousers, teamed with Marina Rinaldi tops and blouses, cut for her curves.
		Alison Nothing's Too Much Trouble Where our customers are concerned, nothing's ever too much trouble for Alison. She'll work tirelessly (and sometimes for hours) with individual customers, looking for the answer to their requirements. She's always got an eye for a bargain (she's a dedicated bargain hunter herself!) and will always make sure her customer gets value for money. She's a big fan of Yoek's long tunics over Verpass trousers and Doris Streich's long skirts.
		Sandra Shop Mother Joining the staff 4 years ago, Sandra has a committed pool of customers who love her service style and dedication to finding the right outfit for each person she's serving. Sadly for Sandra, she's a size 12/14, and is constantly finding things that she'd love to wear but don't come small enough! Her greatest wish (in the shop at least) is that we would start our collections from a size 14 - she says there just isn't anywhere to go and buy stylish clothes suitable for women like her: of a certain age who don't want to give up on fashion, but don't wish to dress like their daughters! Sandra's favourite brands tend to be Verpass (especially the fur coat this season) and French label Georgede.
		Fran The Stylist Fran was a customer first before she joined the team in September; she's our newest member of staff. She's still finding her way round the shop and can regularly be found in the changing rooms trying on new things - we think it's the best way to learn how each different brand fits! Fran's a huge fan of NYDJ Jeans (she's bought 3 pairs already) and has discovered a soft spot for labels Jorli and Alain Weiz - 2 brands that give rein to her quirky style!
